NeoVolta BESS manufacturing plant should open in August in Georgia

By Kelly Pickerel | June 22, 2026

NeoVolta provided an update on its battery manufacturing facility being built in Georgia. The company confirmed that site acceptance testing is targeted for completion by the end of August 2026, and production on BESS for residential, commercial and utility-scale applications will begin in Q3.

The effort in Pendergrass, Georgia, is a joint-venture of NeoVolta, LONGi and PotisEdge. The companies announced the 2-GWh factory earlier this year.

NeoVolta also said that it has received a foreign entity of concern (FEOC) compliance opinion from a national law firm, confirming that the Georgia battery manufacturing facility is structured to meet applicable FEOC/PFE eligibility requirements.

“Receiving a FEOC compliance opinion from a top-tier law firm is a landmark milestone for NeoVolta and for NeoVolta Power,” said Ardes Johnson, CEO of NeoVolta. “This opinion formally validates that our Pendergrass facility meets the compliance standard the utility-scale market demands and removes a key diligence hurdle for customers currently evaluating NeoVolta Power for initial procurement opportunities. Ultimately it positions us to compete for the most high-value projects in the U.S. energy storage market.”
