A four-hour 128-MW battery energy storage system was recently completed on Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. The 512-MWh system, when paired with the nearby Robins Solar Facility, strengthens energy resilience within Georgia Power utility territory.

Burns & McDonnell served as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the Robins Battery Facility and delivered the project on schedule.
The Robins Battery Facility is one of four battery energy storage projects being developed by Georgia Power. The utility has completed battery storage facilities in Cherokee and Lowndes counties totaling 579.5 MW and is nearing completion of a 57.5-MW facility in Floyd County.
