Solar tracker manufacturer SOL Components was issued a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Sept. 1 for QuickGrip, a device used for mounting modules on single-axis tracker systems.

The issued patent (US 12,726,152 B2) is titled “Solar Panel Rail.” It describes the QuickGrip’s method for mounting a module frame to a panel rail using an indexing flange. SOL Components currently produces two single-axis solar tracker models and a fixed-tilt racking.

Create Energy acquired SOL Components in June, and is offering the tracker manufacturer’s products through its web-based project design and management platform.
