Otovo acquires solar O&M brand SunSystem Technology

Small-scale solar system services company Otovo plans to acquire commercial O&M brand SunSystem Technology for $770,000 in cash and $1.3 million in a three-year earn-out.

SunSystem Technology (SST) has performed O&M services in the distributed generation market for over 10 years, serving both residential portfolios and commercial system owners across 14 states. SST previously joined forces with large-scale O&M provider NovaSource, but has since split.

“SST is our seventh transaction since the December 2025 merger and follows the playbook we committed to: accretive acquisitions of high-quality service businesses, integrating them onto the Endurance platform, and building the scale. SST’s expertise and coast-to-coast footprint is a strategic asset, and we look forward to welcoming the SST team to Otovo,” said John Berger, CEO of Otovo.

“Joining forces with Otovo represents an exciting opportunity to leverage cutting-edge AI technology while maintaining the high-quality, customer-focused service SST is known for,” said Matt Alestra, CEO of SunSystem Technology. “Otovo’s vision for integrated energy solutions aligns perfectly with our commitment to ensuring optimal performance of solar assets. Together, we’ll deliver even greater value to customers facing rising electricity prices and the challenge of maintaining their energy investments.”
