New name Solaris Assets has completed the acquisition of assets and business operations of Sunnova Energy. Solaris Assets is the entity formed by GoodFinch Management. Sunnova filed for bankruptcy in June.
Solaris is now in control of Sunnova’s residential solar servicing and O&M platform and Sunnova’s solar and storage portfolio. Core operations are transitioning to SunStrong Management. SunStrong’s management team will lead the go-forward business, ensuring a seamless transition for customers, employees and partners. SunStrong says it is committed to providing reliable and customer-focused service and maintaining high quality service and support for substantially all of Sunnova’s existing customers.
“By bringing together SunStrong’s asset management expertise with Sunnova’s nationally scaled customer base, we are creating a stronger, more capable leader in the solar industry,” said Brendon Merkley, CEO of SunStrong. “Our priority is to maintain the highest levels of service for customers as we expand our footprint as a premier solar asset servicer. Together, we are committed to advancing the future of renewable energy and delivering lasting value to our partners and communities across the country.”
SunStrong’s full-service asset management approach provides a suite of offerings to both solar asset owners and capital markets investors, including field service O&M, billing and collections, and investor engagement and reporting. SunStrong is also managing legacy SunPower assets after that company filed bankruptcy in 2024.
As part of the integration, former Sunnova CEO Paul Mathews will be joining SunStrong as Chief Revenue Officer, a new role established to drive growth and performance. SunStrong will also retain key talent, systems, and capabilities from Sunnova, further strengthening its asset management platform and creating new opportunities for expansion.
“This transaction marks a significant step forward that preserves the best of the platform, people, and customer relationships that have been the heart of the former Sunnova,” said Paul Mathews, SunStrong’s new Chief Revenue Officer. “We are proud of the innovation we brought to the residential solar and storage market, and I look forward to building upon SunStrong’s differentiated and leading asset management services.”

i’ve been a customer of Sunnova since July of 2015 and was very satisfied with the way the system was performing and my low monthly power bill; i was never advised that Sunnova had filed for Bankruptcy and that Sunstrong Management had allegedly acquired Sunnova Management’s assets; i never signed a contract with Sunstrong; my system stopped working as of December 2025 and upon calling who i thought was Sunnova, i learned about Sunstrong; i have spent countless hours on the phone with them attempting to get them to provide me with a contract from their company and they ended up sending me a Sunnova Management contract with what appears to be my forged signature and initials on said contract; i emailed Sunstrong stating that i had ceased monthly payments to them as of July 2026 until such time as they provide me with a contract from their company; they have been refusing to send out a technician since December to inspect and repair my system, but as soon as i emailed them requesting the send me a copy of the contract from Sunstrong, they emailed me offering to send a technician only if their monitoring system indicates that the system is not performing correctly, which they continue to insist it is; i contacted Trinity Solar, the company who was initially contracted by Sunnova to complete the initial system installation and they confirmed that the system is not working properly; so Sunstrong Management is lying and have conveyed that to them; i have lodged a complaint with the New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs and they have assured me they are investigating; in the mean time, i have scheduled for a tech from Trinity Solar to come out and inspect my system; it seems i will end up litigating this matter in court on my own.
I have been with Sunnova for 9 years and have had no issues with them. Since SunStrong Management Company has taken over my system was not working for 4 months. I have tried to call to get the system working. Long hold times for customer service and they bounced me back and forth between Billing and Tech Service. I had auto pay set up with Sunnova and it transferred over when SunStrong took over. I called for Tech Support since my system stopped producing after the merge. I received two separate charges from SunStrong when there was no production on my system due to no communication. They still have no way to tell me what my production is and even if the system is working properly and they tell me to look on the app that isn’t working either. Tech Support put in a work ticket that there is no communication to my system but billing said the charges are for my systems production when it has been off and broken. My advice is stop any auto payments with SunStrong Management.
My solar system always has been underproducing and Sunnova always credited me $300-400 / year approximately for that underproduction. SunStrong took over Sunnova and refuses to compensate for production guarantees not reached. Hence they are trying to steal from me hundreds of dollars per year for no solar production. I never agreed to their policy to do so which was not explained in all the paperwork that was sent to me while Sunnova was going under.. I want them to honor the production guarantee that Sunnova had with me and credit me accordingly or release me from the exorbitant lease I have been paying with no penalty so that I can arrange to get solar for any monies I pay out. If needed, I can dig up the bills over the years although SunStrong should already have access to them to verify what I am reporting. I also am in Arizona and would welcome to form a support group and to be able to brainstorm how to handle these abuses and sleezy business practices.
I was shocked sunstrong won’t honor the warranty.. I’m sure many people wouldn’t have purchased the systems if service and production wasn’t guaranteed. I bought this house with the lease already established. I had to honor the contract as it existed when I purchased the home so why doesn’t sunstrong have to honor the contract after they purchased the debt.
Been getting bills from “sun spruce”??
Who is that? Are they a subsidiary of sun strong?
And bill is coming with my address with the wrong name on invoice.
Anyone else have these issues?
We have been getting incredible power bills from the electric company we had a $400, $650, 500, and its only gone down becwe were able to get into a payment plan. But now wer have a $260 a month bill for who knows how long with them…plus our solar bill which will be however much they decide to charge.
We’ve not been able to speak to a human even once to find out about credits or resetting things or any help at all.
If I wasnt disabled and could get up on the roof Id disconnect the whole thing and load it up and drop it at their doorstep.
Im sick of getting taken advantage of.
I’m a former Sunnova customer. I’m so frustrated by Sunstrong. Their accounting is off, bad data entry most likely but they call me every 3 days to hound me for $50 that I do NOT owe. Bad data entry at time of transition from Sunnova or some fiduciary mistake between the two. Nobody will help me. They keep arguing that I DO owe this extra monthly payment that I do NOT. Six times I’ve had this conversation that is so offensive. I have an 800 credit score because I’m responsible and don’t shirk $50 payments. They will do NOTHING to investigate their own flawed accounting, just keep offensively blaming ME. I’m so angry. If their accounting is this bad, what happens when someone needs maintenance?!
Hi, I was a Sunnova former customer too. They keep hounding me about a payment that they haven’t received. I sent them all the information my cash check my bank statements and they still won’t accept it and low behold I was told the contract from Sunnova does not withhold sun strong company meaning there not liable for any any issues with your roof stuff that needs to be fixed it’s all on you. So now I’m trying to get onto Linken and find out who the CEO maybe I could touch base with him hoping this all gets resolved solar is horrible bad choice I made someone out there HELP
SAME ISSUE HERE!!! I have copies of my paid statements from ALL)LLL 3 years of service and will be mailing them a copy of EVERY ONE because I am TIRED OF them calling me saying I owe them $$$ that I DON’T OWE.
Kelly, I hope you are reading these comments. I am, amongst the many, dissatisfied and frustrated Sunnova castaways that is now dealing with a completely inept and incompetent solar servicing company namely Sunstrong Management. If you do some research on this current subject, you will find appalling reviews, incorrect billing, App that doesn’t work, and customers begging for help and assistance that is virtually impossible or nonexistent to get/find. You could certainly help us fellow “bag” lease holders by writing and article regarding what is really going on since Sunnova (and Sunpower) take over by Sunstrong Management.
I’m sure she has read them, but probably could careless about all the problems with this inept and poorly run company.
I have Made several attempts to contact to Sunstrong with regards to a leak through our roof. Getting to speak with a live person is incredibly impossible.
That are we to do we are Sunnova customers with our system not working
I also called 866-279-5421
I was told to hit number nine and then hit extension 7491 I was given the work order number and supposedly have an appointment coming up this Wednesday, December 10, 2025. I’m gonna see if this person shows up and I’m gonna see what they plan on doing if they don’t fix my service I have a call out to my attorney and I’m gonna stop payment on the Solar that’s not working and I suggest everyone try that number and extension and see if you can get an appointment and I would suggest if you don’t get the service or get your Solar fixed that we all contact an attorney and stop payments on these people
This is all true what people are writing! My system is under producing 3 years in! Getting FPL bills of over $200 on top of Solar bill of $568 per month. Someone of authority should look into this or sue! When I try to login to get any help at Sunstrong I get “MALWARE” notices from my browser not to go any further. The only thing SunStrong website can do is COLLECT MONEY!!! Does anyone know of a good class action attorney for this mess? I had Suntuity the “Installer” who contracted with a random firm in Miami and Sunnova as the mortgage holder. Suntuity went out of business a while ago now Sunnova goes under.KI think there was a lot of fraud here and now the customers are holding the bag so to speak.
“Former Sunnova CEO Paul Mathews will be joining SunStrong as Chief Revenue Officer, a new role established to drive growth and performance”, this says it all. SunStrong is informing customers in Florida that they only monitor and are not responsible for the panels. If a panel fails, we should call our home insurance, do you believed this SH!&T, I already had a case number for three cracked panels and now I am getting the run-a-round! Definitely contacting an attorney.
I finally talk to a human at SunStrong his name was Donny he told me the contract from sunnova doesn’t apply to SunStrong basically ur on ur own if something should go wrong NOT HAPPENING he gave me a number to a company names KROLL
1866 279 5421 to call and put a complaint in supposedly there working with peeps who’s contracts were not carried over gonna try start praying
Well Donny is a liar it’s not kroll it goes back to SunStrong and nobody picks up
Help help anyone out there
But I did find the CEO ON LinkedIn and I will sending a nice message to him and calling my attorney general let’s see what happens
Online accounts transfer from sunnova to sunstrong has never happened. My bill was overdue but no one from sunstrong was able to help when I called 833-514-1858. As other comments mentioned, they transferred me to the lease department, where I waited online for an hour with nobody picking up. Still figuring out how the transfer would work.
Sunnova filed chapter 11 this past June and Sunstrong took over. Which is quite unfortunate! The syst I’m leasing needs servicing since it’s under producing and the cellular plan for the monitoring device is SOON expiring on Dec 8, 2025! The phone app for customers to monitor their system’s production doesn’t work at all!. I have better chances of winning the lotto than reaching a human from Sunstrong!! In my lease it clearly says they are obligated to provide necessary maintenance and repairs at 0 cost to me. Not being available to get the servicing it needs is breech of PPA contract! The only working ph numbers to call Sunstrong is (833 514-1858) or (833-844-4845) and each time I’m left on hold for hours and no human ever picks up the line. I called both several times and was on hold an hour or more ea time before giving up. (I have proof of these calls too). I’ve also read complaints that say if your lucky enough to get an answer at either number the Sunstrong employees are rude and tell customers they are only the billing dept. and they can’t help with servicing appointments, so even if they do answer that’s prob what will happen! I sent 4 certified letters to 4 diff SunStrong addresses I found on line, but they were ignored too. I sent multiple msgs using their website “contact us” button and typed a message in the msg box and submitted them, but those too went ignored. (I sent so many, the company programmed their syst to shoot the msgs bk to my email as non deliverable.)(I have proof of that too). The three emails I recd from Sunstrong only focused on billing instructions so they could make sure they get their payments from their victims! All of their emails were the “Do not reply” type so replying wasn’t an option either! None of their emails included any useful info as how to contact them for maintenance issues or any info as what to do if it needs repairs. I know my system is not producing like it should. I have been advised by another solar business based on the type and brand of micro inverters on my syst, they likely need to be replaced after two yrs, and its been 5 yrs. Another indicator its not producing like it should is the financial adjustment my solar company does yearly to my bill. My last adj was the largest credit I received so far in 5 yrs, meaning my system is under producing. My end of yr pg&e “true up bill” has been sky rocketing ea yr too. By not providing customers with any way to fix nec repairs to ensure syst is in working order nor providing an working app for customers to monitor it is a breech of the PPA contract. I am totally helpless since it’s impossible to communicate with this company and my contract prohibits me allowing any other company make any repairs on it. Arbitration is my next option. Also, when the cellular monitoring plan expires on Dec 8, 2025 and my system will no longer be monitored for accurate production amts, per the PPA if no I-net connection is available they will “estimate kwh” based on past information. How could Sunstrong’s estimates be trusted or reliable when they have already shown their only concern is collecting customer’s payments and do not care about customers having to unnecessarily pay two bills they can’t afford! (PG&E and Sunstrong). The certainly have shown that they will go to any lengths to avoid having to speak to customers needing servicing or repair work!! The PPA says I’m required to have a high speed i-net connection available for monitoring yet Sunstrong is not allowing me any opportunity to make that happen! I have not agreed to pay Sunstrong for those services because they charge too much! So I will complain if they think they can automatically start charging me their $99 per yr fee! Enphase Energy. offers 3 yrs for $147.99. However, as luck would have it, at the moment, Enphase can’t process my pymt right now until they fix their website to function correctly, (thats been a problem for 3 wks). By Sunstrong not being reachable to communicate is a breech of the PPA since it clearly makes it impossible to keeping my system working as they are suppose to per the PPA! This is the worst company I have ever TRIED to deal with in my life!
Today Sunstrong sent me 4 generic responses to the messages I sent through their website “contact us” feature. All 4 of my replies read:
Good day,
Thank you for contacting SunStrong.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to process this request through this communication, please call our toll free number 866-279-5421.
So today, Dec 1,2025, I called that number they gave so I could tell Sunstrong I need a service appointment asap! This time I was on hold for 1 hour 57 min and a female rep named Amore actually picked up! I thought I hit the lottery, but that was short lived! I began telling her about my super long hold time and she disconnected from me without saying a word and put me back on hold! She didn’t want to have to help me! What a wonderful professional Support Rep I waited 2hour for! I remained on hold again for another 51 more minutes and finally hung up. SO TODAY’S TOTAL HOLD TIME WAS
2 HOURS & 48 MINUTES! MY TOTAL HOLD TIME NEARLY 3 HOURS! How can any business think that making customers wait that long could possibly acceptable!!! From the number of complaints about Sunstrong on the BBB website it shouldn’t be much longer before Sunstrong will need to file bankruptcy. So that paints the gloom and doom outlook for all of us customers now transferred to Sunstrong Management, who needs maintenance help! We’re all on the same sinking ship with no life boats and the water is gushing in! No help in sight anywhere!
I’m looking for a class action lawsuit to join against this company. I’m at my wit’s end with these people. We have had a broken panel (so under producing, which means energy bills on top of my solar payment) for 4 years. I really thought Sunstrong would be better than Sunnova. Now I can’t even get a person on the phone. If anyone wants to start a class action lawsuits, I’m willing to help contact all these people on the internet who have the same complaints and who have been completely ripped off.
I will join a suit.

I need a good contact number for SunStrong Management who is now managing the customer accounts for Sunnova Energy thru their chapter 11 bankruptcy filed on June 1, 2025. I am a customer in arizona and my payment is due in 2 days, but I have no way of paying the payment as I can’t reach their company. I have gotten several emails from SunStrong Management and have tried to contact them many times without success. PLEASE CALL ME AT 928-374-8879
I had this too and I mail them the my payments the portal doesn’t work and you cannot talk to a human it’s so frustrating …
The management system that now handles Sunova .. are the worst I’ve seen.. they keep you on hold for over 1 hr , then hang up … no return calls.. system not operating as suppose to.. our system was down for months .. because they never updated their end as they are suppose to be monitoring.. It’s sad that solar has become a scam to have continued revenue from customers every month , but can’t operate like they are suppose to.. we have tried and tried.. We are at a point of contacting an Attorney and social media TV to bring this to the for front ..
I hope this fixes the problems I have had and am still having with Sunnova. Our system worked well for a year and then stopped producing. It took us 6 months to get someone to come out and it took them 20 minutes to replace the invertor. Now the system is apparently producing power but is not communicating through wi fi. Two months later we have still not had anyone out to fix it. Also we were told at the time of installation that if a problem occurs, the company is monitoring the system and we will be automatically contacted in a timely manner to set up a repair appointment. This has never happened. Meanwhile we continue to make monthly payments and our Ameren bill has gone up significantly when the system is down.
