KOMIPO America announced it completed construction of the 160-MW Concho Valley Solar project in San Angelo City in Texas and started commercial operation in October. The solar project will provide power to Targa Resources’ natural gas processing plant in West Texas. Construction began in November 2021.
The Concho Valley Solar is the second utility-scale solar asset for KOMIPO America in Texas. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Nov. 16 at the project site with local officials, community leaders and other project stakeholders.
“Concho Valley Solar is the most remarkable and meaningful project in the U.S. for KOMIPO since it had jointly developed with trustworthy partnership with the local developer, Merit SI and strong support from the local communities,” said Hotae Lee, executive managing director of KOMIPO.
