On October 20, 2021, the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah, Central Division approved the sale of certain assets of Empire Solar Group, including project assets, without existing liabilities to Suntuity Solar. The court’s ruling gives Suntuity the exclusive right to work with certain former Empire Solar customers for the benefit of customers, the Empire estate and its creditors.
If you are a homeowner who may have switched or may be considering a switch to another solar provider, Suntuity asks that you contact them as soon as possible because your decision may have a direct impact on the assets acquired by Suntuity through the bankruptcy court, including inventory that may have been installed at your home. More information about the sale order can be found on the Chapter 7 Trustee’s webpage at https://empiresolarbankruptcy.com/.
Over the next several weeks, Suntuity will begin contacting Empire Solar Group customers whose solar projects are incomplete or not yet in service. Customers with immediate questions can contact a Suntuity representative via a dedicated customer service hotline at (855) 235-9786, through email at empiresupport@suntuity.com, or by filling out a survey at https://suntuitysolar.com/empiresurvey.html. Representatives will respond during normal business hours of 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. EST.

Amy Bernal says
I need help. I have a listing which has Empire Solar Group panels and there is a roof leak. 1. Has anyone had their loan released since the bankruptcy? 2. What are you doing if you need the panels serviced or the roof repaired?
Timothy Ferguson says
Suntuity is a bad company who does not pay there Contractors . Did $ 70;000 worth of work for them they just ignore my invoices and my calls . This is going to put me out of business. That’s what happens when you trust Suntiuty and the people who work for them.
Loucious Windom says
We have had to come out of pocket to get another company to service them and we still aren’t producing
Roman says
Call Solar edge. 510-498-3200. They may honor the warranty.
Amy Bernal says
What came of your situation? I am represent sellers who have panels installed by Empire Solar Group from 2019. (They aren’t the original owners, they bought the home with the panels in 2022). We are trying to find anyone to help service the panels and do a roof repair where there is a leak.
If anyone has info please reach out at callamybernal@outlook.com.
Roman says
So, I just got off the phone with Suntuity. If you had your panels installed during/after the Empire bankruptcy then Suntuity may be able to cover you. My install was in 2018, before the leagal issues started so I am NOT covered with Suntuity. I was told to contact Solar edge and ask for local install contractors for possible warranty info. Please include me in any class action law suits please.

We’re going through the same issue, for the past year our electricity bill has been over the roof & having to pay the loan. This is a horrid situation, with no real solutions. No one to answer questions or provide a solution, we really need to consider a law suit.
Tianna Coleman says
Literally, same situation here!! I was recently told to call the Attourney General and file a complaint. I did so and should har back in 10 days. You should do it too! I was even sent something in the mail regarding the lawsuit but idk what it meant or really what I was even reading.

Has anyone been able to reach Suntuity or have maintenance done on their solar panels? Mine haven’t been working for months and when i try to contact Solar Edge (the loan company told me to reach out to them about maintenance) they told me that i need to contact Rf technical but they did not provide any contact information for them. I cannot find Rf technical on the web. I am still having to pay for these panels plus the cost of electric.
The loan company stated that Solar Edge are the manufacturer of the panels and then when I called a second time, they said it was Silfab solar.

I had to find out from my original salesperson with Empire that Empire even went out of business!! We got nothing but a excuse that Suntuity got what they wanted… Message after message was just being ignored and hung up on!! The rest of us that paid high dollar start up and still paying a monthly payment for the equipment plus now getting a exorbitant electric bill on top of that has been screwed!! No maintenance , monitoring or solar production making it to APS the to the power company.
