The NABCEP Continuing Education Conference has been rescheduled for July 6 to 9 following a postponement from rising concerns about COVID-19. The conference will be held at the same planned venue, the St. Charles Convention Center in St. Charles, Missouri. The event was originally going to be held from March 16 to 19.
“After a year of working with our sponsors, exhibitors and CE Conference Committee, we were profoundly disappointed that we had to postpone the 2020 CE Conference from March to July,” said Sue McKeen, NABCEP business manager in an emailed statement. “However, there is nothing more essential to NABCEP than the health and safety of our attendees, partners and staff, and we felt that this was the right decision to make in light of strong evidence of potential exposure to COVID-19. We feel strongly that a postponement of four months will give local, state and federal health agencies enough time to reduce the risks of traveling and attending large events like the CE Conference. Still, we will monitor the situation as it unfolds and take the proper actions and precautions to ensure a safe and successful conference.”
The NABCEP CE Conference gives solar industry members the chance to earn continuing education credentials, as many as 21 hours over the course of the event. Anyone with NABCEP Board Certification or Association credentials that will expire before the conference on July 9 will have their expiration date moved to Aug. 11, 2020, instead.
