CertainTeed, a North American brand of exterior and interior building products—along with New Energy Colorado, Solar CitiSuns and the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA)—will sponsor the Summer Solstice Concert on June 20. The event, which illuminates Colorado’s commitment to solar, will take place from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the Lakewood Heritage Center, located at 801 S. Yarrow St. in Lakewood, Colorado.
The Summer Solstice Concert will feature education on solar products and allow attendees to engage with local organizations that are serving as the stewards of Colorado’s solar industry. There will also be games, concessions and live music performances by the Antonio Lopez Trio, Misadventure, and Chandler Holt (of Chatham County Line) with Kyra Holt. The event will benefit New Energy Colorado, a COSEIA-affiliated nonprofit that supports solar education, outreach and policy.
“Together, we can build stronger solar markets and grow our industry,” said Keelin Kelly, director of development and membership at COSEIA. “Coming to the concert and supporting our work will help us expand the solar industry and support a healthier environment for all of us.”
A CertainTeed Solar representative will be at the event with product samples and to answer questions about the company’s solar product line, which includes the Apollo II and Apollo Tile II solar roofing systems, as well as its Solstice rack and panel system. All systems are protected by CertainTeed’s industry-leading warranty, which includes a workmanship warranty when the system is installed by a CertainTeed-credentialed installer.
“CertainTeed Solar is proud to sponsor this exciting event that celebrates the growth of Colorado’s solar workforce,” said Kate Collardson, solar services sales manager for CertainTeed. “Colorado is a major producer of solar energy, and we applaud the people, organizations and businesses of Colorado for their ongoing contributions to the industry.”
