ten K Energy, groSolar and Integrys Energy Services announced today the completion of a 4 MW DC solar power project in Ashburnham, Mass.
The ground-mounted installation was developed by Ten K Energy, designed and constructed by groSolar, and is owned by a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Services. A portion of the solar farm uses highly productive photovoltaic solar modules manufactured in Minnesota by Ten K Solar.
The Ten K system is expected to deliver 38% more energy per acre than the traditional system and, in total, the solar farm will supply enough energy to power about 600 homes.
Ashburnham Municipal Light Plant (AMLP) is purchasing the power generated from the project under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
