The 25-MW Sol Orchad PV Plant, in El Centro (Imperial Valley, Calif.) has reached inauguration. The project was developed by T-Solar Group.
GPTech provided 13 APIS UL outdoor systems with two PV630WD inverters and a 1500-kV pad mounted transformer, along with one APIS UL outdoor composed by two PV500WD solar inverters and one pad mounted transformer of 630 kVa. This equipment helps the PV facilities achieve a fast and easy grid integration because of the systems’s flexible and compact design adapted to the necessities of the client. Additionally, the systems offer remote control of active and reactive power, ramp rate control, automatic power regulation according to frequency variations and three modes of operation for low voltage ride through.
With this project, GPTech reinforces its position in the U.S. market, one of its target markets for 2014, where it has several project in pipeline. In addition, the company has ended the year with numerous projects in Chile, South Africa, Rumania and United Kingdom, and it foresees an increase in its pipeline for the next year.
