Andrew Worden, CEO at GameChange Racking has observed that more solar installations are being proposed for Connecticut brown-fields or landfills where ground penetration is not possible. This is why his company is excited to be involved in one of the largest ground ballasted solar installation in the state.
“Our ballasted ground systems are simply designed to dramatically reduce cost and installation time for landfill solar systems,” he says.
The system will use 1.2 MW of the company’s GC Basic Ballasted Ground System at a 30-degree tilt. GameChange Racking has actually signed orders for 11 ballasted ground systems, totaling over 10 MW in the past 6 months.
Features of GC Basic Ballasted Ground System include:
· Standard inexpensive 80 pound pavers stack on ballast trays
· Just two basic components
· 120 mph wind tested and rated
· Made in the U.S.A.
