Alternate Energy

Founded in 1993, Alternate Energy Inc. is one of Hawaii’s most experienced renewable energy companies, specializing in the design and installation of PV, HVAC, solar thermal, and energy storage. AEI’s HESS (home energy storage solution) is an intelligent, energy storage battery system that charges using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low, then powers up your home for the cost it took to produce that energy on your roof – for free. It can also be used as a back-up energy source or as a way to completely disconnect from the grid.
AEI’s expert project developers, electricians and technicians are cross-trained in multiple renewable energy disciplines, while AEI’s dedicated engineering department ensures properly designed, beautifully integrated systems.
Top-quality product and excellent customer service are the hallmarks of this homegrown company, built on trust, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility and aloha for our Hawaii community.
