The 85-MW Choctaw Fields Solar Project is now online in Oklahoma. The single-axis project was completed by Tango Holdings, a joint venture between Savion Equity and Ares Infrastructure Equity.

A long-term virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) has been executed with Cargill for offtake of the facility’s full solar energy generation.
“This latest milestone in Oklahoma further supports the efforts of our joint venture with Savion to enhance the reliable supply of power in key U.S. markets,” said Steve Porto, partner in Ares Infrastructure Equity. “As solar becomes a larger share of the nation’s energy mix, we remain committed to advancing the long-term operational performance of these high-quality projects.”
Choctaw Fields Solar Project represents the latest solar asset announced under the July 2025 joint venture, which encompasses five original facilities with a combined capacity of 496 MW. All five projects have now reached commercial operation. Savion developed the projects and will serve as a project-managing JV member, with Shell Renewable Asset Management International overseeing ongoing asset management.
