Sunpreme, a global solar PV manufacturer, and Tigo Energy, developer of modular-level management software, announced the completion of a commercial solar installation at a shopping center located in the California Bay Area. The system consists of commercial carport installations totaling 750 kW, utilizing Sunpreme’s GxB380 SM Bifacial PV Panels integrated with Tigo TS4-L (Long Strings) Optimizers.
“Providing the added benefits of optimization for a local project of this magnitude is a welcomed opportunity,” says Zvi Alon, chairman & CEO at Tigo. “Our TS4’s unprecedented reliability in the field is the reason we match Sunpreme’s industry-leading warranty for bifacial panels — both have the best lifetime energy yields.”
Sunpreme’s GxB380 SM Bifacial PV Panels were chosen for maximum energy generation and robust product reliability. The DC-to-DC module integration with Tigo allows for longer PV string designs, panel-level monitoring and UL-certified rapid safety shutdown. With Tigo’s Reclaimed Energy feature, the solar system owners will be able to track and calculate the exact ROI from Sunpreme’s optimized modules.
“Sunpreme’s Bifacial Smart PV technology with Tigo’s MLPE platform was the perfect match for such a large system. The GxB380 SM brand is an industry game changer offering our customers the safest long-term energy investments,” said Surinder S. Bedi, executive VP for Global Business Development, System Products and Quality & Reliability at Sunpreme. “We are committed to deliver superior Sunpreme experience at every step of a customer’s solar energy journey — including the growing C&I market. These double-glass bifacial panels were designed with useful life exceeding 30 years, superior lifetime yields and more savings for our clients,” added Bedi.
