Trinasolar has donated 300 solar panels to YouthBuild Global as part of its Solar Jobs Pathway Initiative. The n-type TOPCon modules will be used in solar installation training labs at sites across the United States to educate YouthBuild trainees about installing PV mounting systems and provide hands-on experience critical for careers in solar installation.

A portion of the modules will be installed on an affordable housing unit built by YouthBuild trainees at YouthBuild Lake County in North Chicago, Illinois, to help offset utility costs for a low-income family. The remaining portion of modules will be installed on the roof of the CLC, Inc. YouthBuild building in Fort Worth, Texas, to help offset a majority, if not all, of the facility’s utility costs, which will allow more resources to be allocated toward trainee support and program expansion.
