Nautilus re-ups partnership with EnergyMark for community solar management

By Kelsey Misbrener | August 14, 2024

Nautilus Solar Energy announced it has extended its strategic partnership with EnergyMark, a Williamsville, New York-based energy supplier and solar subscription manager. After one year of a successful partnership, the two companies have expanded their deal from approximately 17 MW to 24 MW, increasing from seven projects to 10 projects in the National Grid utility territory. The partnership will be celebrated at the recently energized community solar farms in Grand Island, New York on September 4, 2024. The continued partnership aims to bridge the gap for local small to mid-size commercial businesses that have historically been left out of the community solar revolution.

A significant issue that many businesses face is the inaccessibility to solar credits, leading to missed opportunities in guaranteed savings on energy costs. Traditionally, these businesses have been sidelined due to credit rating requirements and long-term commitments, putting the benefits of community solar out of reach for many. The extended partnership with Nautilus and EnergyMark provides additional access to energy savings for these small to large non-rated businesses within Western and Central New York.

“Our mutually beneficial and successful partnership with EnergyMark has allowed us to deliver solar access for non-rated businesses through a trusted local energy supplier. As a result, we’ve been able to execute agreements with businesses quickly and with better terms, thanks to the solid, friendly relationships we’ve built,” said Daniel Bozer, community solar business development manager for Nautilus. “Additionally, my collaboration with my fellow Buffalonians has been a rewarding journey, working with local businesses in the National Grid utility to strengthen both the power grid and NY economies.”
