SEPTEMBER 26, 2022 UPDATE: Local news is reporting that Powerhome Solar/Pink Energy abruptly terminated all of its employees nationwide and has closed. See story here.
North Carolina-based Powerhome Solar officially changes its name to Pink Energy today, April 22. The residential solar provider has been in business for eight years and works in 15 states: Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
With the name change, Pink Energy will expand its workmanship warranty to 10 years and launch a digital customer portal that will provide real-time updates to project timelines.
“As we continue on a path of extreme growth, the company is evolving to offer products and services that go beyond solar. Our new Pink Energy brand better reflects our commitment to offering best-in-class renewable energy solutions that have a positive impact on our environment. We’ve been exploring the possibility of a rebrand for years,” said a Powerhome spokesperson in an email to Solar Power World.
After founding in 2014, Powerhome quickly expanded into new states, often first by inking partnerships with local professional sport teams and establishing marketing efforts around the teams. Some of its marketing efforts have been called out by customers as being misleading, and local media have reported their own investigations into the complaints.
“We recently completed outreach to our entire customer base to inform them of improved customer service efforts and to provide a customer feedback portal to be sure that any issues are addressed in a timely manner,” commented the Powerhome spokesperson. “We also recently increased our number of customer experience team members and service team members, including adding a leader with 30 years of experience in customer service, in order to respond better to customer concerns.”
Where do I sign up for the class action suit. My story is no different than everybody’s. The salesmen are lier’s. They also should be held as responsible as Jason Waller.

The worst system ever still have 150 to over 200 light bills and still have to pay the solar bill. Don’t get sucked in.
Outright lies from the salesman, to the conceire, to tech support, to everyone I’ve talked to in the company. Over a year of trying to get my system fixed, finally resorted to making a knockoff of their web commercial complaining about the system. Got a call next day, scheduled my repairs a full month out. Arrived the day of the repairs, “replaced” bad PV links, left and suddenly my system has only 8 links instead of 9 and will not even make the power it was before they came to fix it. Then in the follow up calls was told that “the program to provide rebates to customers ended last week” and of course I don’t get a rebate. Spend 3 weeks trying to get an repair team back out, finally tech support agrees and promises that a scheduler will call me to set up the appointment. No calls for two weeks, call back…. Now they don’t work on Generac Systems and tell me to Call Generac. Call Generac, they say to call Pink Solar. Call Pink Solar, they say to call Generac….. Call Generac, finally speak to someone other than the entry customer service and they send me a list of Generac approve repair offices in my area. Call all of them and no one will return my call. Eventually, get through to one office to be told “we don’t work on Power Home Solar or Pink Energy installs…. Call Generac, get an expanded list of repair folks. Get through to one…. “sure I can fix your system” but I have to charge you and you have to go back to Pink or Generac for reimbursement… oh by the way… at least 3 week wait as I have other Pink solar customers ahead of you. In the mean time, lost another PV link…..
No customer service, no integrity, no honestly, and I’m stuck with the bill and my original utility payments.
Power Home Solar installed our system in November of last year in less than a week we were out of electricity at my home . Power Home solar said they could have a tech out to look at our system after Christmas! We called REMC to look into our problem and they found that Power Home Solar left a ground unconnected from our main supply. Upon the restoration of our power we found that several appliances would no longer work. We complained to them about their mistake costing us so much. Their reply was that they could void our warranty for allowing someone else to repair their system
I had a system installed at the begining of covid in march i live in a area where no building inspections are needed . Only aep my power company i have 2 seperate systems one on my house and one on my shop over 50.000 invested without battery backup it was a complete diesaster from the getgo they still today donot know i have a system on my garage generac came out to fix the recal recently and i asked about the garage they didnt know i had 2 . This is 3 years later . My new meters were supose to be includedand my power company almost turned me in to collections before i fanally paid for them and and still have never been refunded . I paid my panels off and consider this the worst investment ive evermade and tell everyone i know what ive learned from my experience i wouldnt refer a enemy to this company for solar for thier dog house
Since I got solar from Powerhome/ pink energy I’ve been getting higher electricity bills. And I can’t seem to get the company when I can if I do get them. The phones cuts off the second they here something they don’t want to here.
They lie to people to us to use there company that doesn’t help in no way shape or form. No am paying too bills for the things, 1 for LG&E and the other for the solar. Which makes no sense. And they trying to tell me that they can’t cancel the contract
I’m in Illinois facing the same issues referenced by others. Told lies, no savings as promised, multiple calls due to broken or malfunctioning equipment, lack of customer service, higher electric bill and no resolve from Power/Pink. Is there a class action lawsuit and how do we find out about it? Clearly, these complaints are a cry for help. It seems that the verbage in the contract should be illegal You can’t sue, you cant get your money back and you can’t get out of the contract. Is there any recourse????
Why y’all changed the name..y’all scammed me y’all miss up my room ..so if y’all changed y’all name so my contact is void right .it’s been a yr and no one has called me or anything..I’m going to sell y’all stuff off my roof
Pink Energy (Power Home Solar) has been a train wreck from the start. To begin, I did the work with our local Permitting Department, coordinated the site visit, got the install permit, arranged the post installation inspection. Pink did nothing. I also got the necessary paperwork from the County to submit to the Electrical Provider to turn up the system. The installation itself was a mess. They brought the wrong components, left trash everywhere. Made a mess of the walls in our laundry room where the electrical panel is, did not clean that up. Had to borrow our vacuum to clean up the wall board dust. Drove across our our law and turned around on it. Took them 6 months to come out and repair the lawn. The system failed in mid Nov 2021 (9 months after install) first techs they sent didnt want to touch it. Diagnosed a short. Second set of techs came back about 3 months later, also diagnosed a short, said all new wiring needed to be run from the panels to the inverter, but they needed to replace all the conduit because the conduit used by Pink is too small and the wires end up getting scraped while pulling through the tubing and results in shorting out the system. The tech said he had complained to management about the issue but that they took no action. My system has been down for nine months.
System installed on 6/16 and 6/17/2022. Due to an error of Pink Energy’s employee who never submitted my voided check Sunlight financial believes that I am going to pay a higher interest rate. The system is not even working as of yet. I Can not rectify the situation with Pink Energy or Sunlight financial, as no one returns call after being on hold for over two hours. I will not be making one payment on this solar system until my concerns are addressed. I would absolutely like to be involved in a class action suit. Where do we start???
I am in the same situation with them. Sign me up as well…
I also would like to know how to go about getting my money back. Heck, take all the equipment and give me my money. I don’t want their crappy solar system.
After 1.5 years of the terrible install experience, we found a leak in our closet. Install experience included failing inspection 3 times and techs coming to the house asking “what needs to be fixed here?”. Its your job to know why you failed inspection, not mine! They also dropped the attic fan through the ceiling of another closet and didn’t say anything until i found the huge hole the next day!
Since then, we have had issues with PV link and even needed the Inverter switched out. That took from August u til December 28 to complete that job. May 2022, we called them for another PV link issue. 4 days after that, is when we found the leak. May 22 was when they were notified of the leak, they were not going to send anyone until June 23 to even look at the leak and mitigate the damage of our 4 yrs old house. We pushed for 2 weeks to escalate and finally got someone out to remove the panels on June 6. We had our own roofer repair the house and have now been waiting for weeks for the reimbursement. Panels are sitting in our garage.
Pink energy says our situation does not warrant the contract to be rescinded as they want to put the panels back on our roof. They will never touch our roof again. So now we are paying on a $45k loan for a shoddy installation job in which zero manufacturer instructions were followed. This company had complete disregard for our roof, ripped shingles, did not seal any holes and my house was only 2 yrs old when Installed and they have the worst customer service. This has been a nightmare and i have contacted a lawyer to help us get out of this situation as this was a breach of contract. Additionally, we saved about 9.8% on our electric and it was supposed to be 55%. 100% do not recommend going with this company.
i am very up set its save me nothing was told it would run my home was lied to very very uoset with this company
After almost two years and knowing others having the same complaints: Roofing Damage, Customer service waiting time, no notification to customers about the name change, Lies about electrical Bills, Roof Inspection, and Call Backs. Let’s get homeowners insurances companies involved why should us the consumers keep paying!
We had PowerHome Solar install our
Panels on the ground facing due south!! We have not had an electric bill in 2 months and the one before these 2 was $12.02!! We are so glad we went with PowerHome Solar!! Pink Energy is coming Thursday to insert missing parts in the Generac boxes! We went 124% of what we use!! Selling back to our power company!! We are in PA.
We were sold a system from Pink Energy Sept. 2021 and we were made promises that the company is not keeping and the company says they aren’t responsible for what the salesmen tell customers that buy the product. When we call we are kept on the line on hold hours on end. We heard there is a class action lawsuit and are trying to find out how to become involved in it.
How can we file a lawsuit against this company?
I purchased solar panels from Powerhome Solar (now Pink Energy) in late 2020. I have had numerous issues with their service. My latest issue is the shortfall of productivity from the panels. I have come to learn that the company makes false claims of reduced electric bills. Their promises are very misleading. The salesman repeatedly told me that my electric bills would be at most $97 per month. Sorry to say that my monthly bills have been as high as $570. This is far from the $97 as promised. Because of the misleading and deceptive sales practices, I want to initiate a class action lawsuit. Who else in Pennsylvania has been scammed by Powerhome (Pink Energy)? If you have been deceived by Powerhome Solar, in regards to the lack of productivity and reduced electric bills, please reply to me. We have power in numbers. If we can come together, we can work to make this situation right and hopefully be compensated for the extra expenses of energy costs.
I am very disappointed as well. I have and I am still having issues with Powerhome solar/ Pink energy. Everything the salesman said, Lies, all Lies! My roof was barely a year old when the panels were installed. Now I have window casing water damage and ceiling water damage from the roof leak damage in both my master bedroom and living room. I have been waiting for them to repair the damages now for over 6 months. Along with many other issues, too many to even begin to express here. I would gladly join the lawsuit. I am in Pennsylvania.
i would very much like to join you in your class action lawsuit against phs/pink . i live in ohio and had my panels installed in may 2021 . i haven’t seen any benefits from the panels. lets come together in numbers and get the many issues resolved.
Hell from Pennsylvania also and yes ripped off by power home solar/ pink energy. No help tons on troubles and no savings.
My name is Clarence Toland Jr., I live in Wilmington NC Powerhome put solar panels on my home in April of 2021 with promises of my bill being lower to around $9.00 a month and that it would power my 2 story home which is a lie ,it hasn’t worked right since its been on my home and I ended up having to go on a special program that Duke Energy offered in order to keep my electricity on being that I am a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran and I have a $52,000.00 bill from Powerhome so sign me up
We also had panels installed on our roof. We signed on in December 2021 they didn’t install them until May . The system didn’t pass inspection finally fixed Sept 2022 still not inspected. Still paying full electric bill and paying on loan also. I would like to hear from you bartinpa@yahoo.com
I was high pressured to sign up & in fact to install in Dec.24th. I did. After putting 13 of 14 panels on my roof, the PHS/Pink mgr told them to stop as THEY had received approval from my elect. company. Fast forward 7 mos later & about 30 different people, weekly emails, texts in my part, I still have no solar. They called a couple of months ago and said they would come and take the solar panels off my roof and the Generx solar panel off my wall and I said “oh no, as my roof has no warranty now & you’ve added holes to my roof & walls. You will fix this!” I am about ready to seek legal counsel. Avoid this company till they get their act together!!!!!
PHS stated that they could lower my electric bill by 80% . After the first year it did not do this! After many call the customer service person told us our panel was not desist to do that and it would at best give us a 60 -65 % and was told that I was not smart enough to do the math. Plus I was using more electric the before the panels.
Then the inverter went out, it took two months to come and replace it. Yes the solar panels helps on electric bill, but not getting the 80% lower bills as the sales person said we would. I feel cheated!!
19 months and still NOT WORKING!
Corrupt and immoral!
Wish I would see Jayson Waller in public. He would be flat out embarrassed by me. I dare News 2 or some other news agency call me!
Wow,wow. I worked for Jason and PHS in N.C. in the early days of 2014 and as my first solar sales job. But not first sales job, I thought the training was hard sell, whatever it takes to close. Not my style to pressure or mislead so I left. My wife got sick (als) and we had to hurry sell a house and move to spend her short time here in New England with Family. I decided to go back to solar here and OMG it is a job seekers market. 7 applications. 7 job offers. I assume due to some experience. Took the first verbally then looked them up on BBB, called said ” I cannot in good conscious represent you” down the list of national solar companies reading reviews till I found home. A salt of the earth owner of Family business. 20 years roofing expert , now doing solar since 2019. Better Business Bureau A+ accredited and get this 0 complaints. He does not want a complaint or unhappy customer. Google 4.93. Tell the truth, sell the truth, solar works when done properly. I very happy here, like our customers. Unitedbetterhomes.com
Wrote the following to the CEO of Pink today (Sat Jun 11, 2022.
As a retired molecular biologist, I felt it was important to do my part to reduce our carbon footprint. We are also concerned about the stability of the grid. So we highered Power Home Solar (now Pink Solar) to install solar panels on our roof along with the Generac battery backup. The installation took place on June 21, 2021.
I have been pleased with the performance of the solar panels.
HOWEVER WE ARE NOT GETTING THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WE NEED.
RIGHT NOW WE HAVE 2 ISSUES:
1. ROOF DAMAGED DURING THE INSTALLATION.
– detected in May , 2022 by roofing company looking for hail damage. No hail damage detected. But they found significant damage were Solar panels were installed. Please see roof damage report below.
After repeated phone calls, extended periods on hold, hang-ups while on hold, and emails….I finally received a call from a member of the Customer Solutions Team on Monday June 6. 10:45 am
– The Customer Solutions rep filed a report and forwarded the complaint on to the Compliance team
– Customer Solutions rep said I should hear back from the Compliance team in 24 to 72 hrs.
– 5 DAYS /120 HOURS AND I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK YET.
2. FOR OVER 30 HRS NOW WE HAVE NO POWER FOR ANYTHING CONNECTED TO THE GENERAC BATTERY. THE REST OF THE HOUSE IS FINE.
– the power went out in certain parts of our home some time between 3:00 and 4:00 PM yesterday afternoon (Friday June 11, 2022).
– I CONTACTED GENERAC and spoke with the technical support specialist. She identified the problem ” PVRS LOCKOUT ON A PV LINK. ISLAND OVERLOAD” snd instructed me to contact Pink to schedule a repair. Generac Case # 8248160.
– I CONTACTED PINK SOLAR. The technical support specialist was helpful. She reviewed the findings by GENERAC and created a work order. She then transferred me to the group that will be doing the work for scheduling.
– I was on hold for 25 minutes before I gave up.
– EVERY TIME I CALL I AM EITHER ON HOLD FROM THE START…..OR TOLD I HAVE REACHED THE WRONG GROUP AND PLACED ON HOLD AGAIN. ONCE I AM ON HOLD, NO ONE ANSWERS OR THE PHONE DISCONNECTS
My roof is still damaged and I still have no power in anything connected to the Generac battery. I realize equipment failures occur. I understand people make mistakes. HOWEVER I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO FIX THE PROBLEMS IN A TIMELY MANNER. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS.
I DEMAND BETTER.
Hello Jennifer, I am having the exact same issue – a system lockout due to an error with a PVLink. Evidently this is a known problem in that the snap connectors are failing on all systems (GENERAC-supplied equipment, as I understand it). I have been in the phone waiting numerous times, and they transfer me to Tech Support – I wait, but no one ever answers. On representative told me that a company named “Novasource” has been contracted to make these repairs/replacements, but I have yet to hear anything from them. I will continue to make myself a pest with these people until this gets resolved.
Phs is the worst company to work with my installed system failed inspection,I’ve been trying to get them to come fix it but they never call back or email or text ,they pass me from one person to the next I paid cash ,my next step like everyone else is to file BBB and sue them either they completely fix it or tak it out and give me my money back.
Absolutely the worst company. I was lied too, in high pressure sales techniques. This system and customer service is so bad. Tech Cu and sonlight lending are partners and Complicit with this company.. I’m in Tennessee trying to find out information about the class action lawsuit does anyone know how to get in touch with the attorneys that are suing this fraudulent solar company?
I want info on a class action lawsuit too. I’m in Pennsylvania.
Did you get any info y a class action law suit I would be so interested. I totally feel like my husband and I have been taken advantage of from pink energy. They have not done anything that was promised to us.
sure looks like you kicked a hornets nest with this one SPW. 😉
I’ve been wondering how long it would take PHS to change their name.
So many unhappy customers I’ve spoken with or seen commenting online, especially here in my (and their) home state of NC.
I agree with some other posts here: Can we please stop giving air to this company in form of press? There are very good companies in the industry who’ve never needed to change their name in order to continue, or “improve”, operations and presence in the market. Let’s focus on them, instead?
I’d like to clarify to many making these comments that news sites shouldn’t give companies additional exposure: We are not giving these companies humanitarian awards. There is value in reporting news like a name-change so customers are aware of what the company is doing and have a place to gather with other affected customers to discuss appropriate outcomes.
I see what you did with this article and I appreciate it. I’m currently starting litigation with powerhome solar/Pink Energy. I couldn’t find them when I initially Reported them to the BBB. That’s how I found out they had changed their name, even though they were/are still operating under the Power Home Solar name.
I am in same boat. Waiting. They swapped it eventually but still not communicating with the service/server so my power production is not visible. At this point I am not even sure my system stil works. I would like to take part in a class action suit.
Just had PINK ENERGY installed solar system to me and my wife’s house. 100 % satisfied! The work crew was 100% GREAT! Was real respectful, had not had yes mam, sir, no sir,mam to us in our life time. They eat lunch while they worked. What models for other young!!!
But are you up and running yet? They are quick to install so ty hey get there money, but then never get authorization from utility company to operate the panels or it fails inspection.! Been there! Sun power is only way to go check them or sun run out. Pink is a joke!
I believe I was taken advantage of because of my age. I am an elderly homeowner. Because the sales person stayed here from 2pm until 11:30pm I was pretty much a zombie and they walked me thru signing the documents. They got me into a 25 year contract. They really told me lies, lies, lies and had me sold before 6pm. He was not going to leave until he walked me thru electronically signing all those documents. If you hear the name of pink energy, lock and block your doors and play dead! And they seems to be no way to contact them for questions or service. They don’t answer email or phone.
Thank you Everyone for your honest reviews of this company. As someone interested in Solar I appreciate the honest reviews.
We were not informed of name change. We have been having issues since day one, over a year! I do not recommend this company to anyone. The customer service is horrible and it will go down as our worst investment because of the company and its poor quality products.
As a longtime industry advocate and investor, I am truly saddened to hear your story, Shannon.
🙁 There are so many reputable companies out there. It troubles me that consumers seeking honest support to do the right thing for their pocket book and the environment get swindled by profiteers looking only for short-term gains. I don’t know the PHS folks personally, but all I generally read online confirms your sentiments, and it seems they are giving a black eye to our industry.
If there is anything I can do to help you get your system back on track (Including just discussing options w/you about how to get support from the manufacturers directly) please reach out. Kelly at SPW knows how to reach me if my contact details are not available here.
Thank you for believing in solar technology.
My apologies on behalf of the rest of the solar industry that your system is not performing as it should and that PHS is not providing you quality customer service.
Powerhouse ‘s owner also was In the home security business( ICI) and was investigated for Robocalls. The owner had to cease security sales and installs as a plea. His business practices were questioned and subsequently investigated. Different clothing but same wolf. Run, do not walk, away!
Thanks for this info I thought something was up since social media is exploding with ads that advertise desirable bait $2500 and no financing for 12months. So they are 7 days old with years of baggage. Been on the fence for years to go solar but always seems like I’m buying a new car and it’s basically sales at the end of the day. Can’t find any info on price they have to get your phone # I feel trapped at the Enter sign I’m not going in!!
Pamela. If you are in a state that Tesla installs. They offer a solar quote with no sales reps at all. I am an installer and previous employee of theirs. Heck i even avoid telling people to go to the company i currently work for because it’s still sales
Hi Pamela, similar to Mike’s comment I’d urge you to
a) use Tesla online as a great yardstick of how to get the right numbers in-hand
b) check Energy Sage where you can have installers compete for your business (not an EnergySage affiliate here, I just think their model at least ensures you get something less biased and salesy)
c) always get 3 or more quotes and compare…compare the CASH offer, not the financing. Get the system that is the best CASH Deal, then ask for financing BOTH from them and through your own local bank to compare options.
I do think technology matters. But focus on the power conversion technology rather than the solar panels themselves. And batteries are almost a must these days IMHO
Companies like Outback, Generac, Tesla, SolarEdge and Enphase will all help you find a reputable installer (even though I’m aware that PowerHome is/was a generac certified dealer).
For solar modules, there are Many reputable brands. The leading brands in the US change w/the tides but most distributors will provide what we call “Tier 1” brands to their installers based on what’s available. When you get picky with brand preference is when install times can get extended bc we really are in a very tight supply constrained market at present (like, good luck ever getting a Tesla Powerwall installed outside specific ‘key’ markets like CA).
IF you call up a distributor like BayWa or CED Greentech they often will also match you with one of their reputable local installers, AND many of the distributors will even go so far as providing you a prelim design for your system before they send your lead to an installer to give you a quote.
Hope you can finally get a system that works for you.
I wish I would have read this 1st. I had my system installed yesterday and the wiring is TOTALLY sub par. Holes in wall, wires ran everywhere. No knowledge of how to run wires. Total spaghetti nightmare! Pissed!
That is terrible, im sorry this happened to you and many others , our local news did a story about them and put them in the hall of shame , somewhere in all those small prints you signed they also protected themselves from being sued , look for fox 2 detroit new , Rob Wolchek ‘s story
Power Home Solar now Pink Solar not only falsified claims regarding the installation of the systems to hundreds of customers 600 and counting but is facing several class action lawsuits, investigations into the misrepresentation by several State Attorney Generals and an investigation from the consumer protection agency. Not only does this put a black eye for all of us in the industry but it has damaged hundreds of PW customers who bet the farm on falsified sales practices.

If there is someone doing a class action lawsuit, please let me know how to get into contact with them to join. I live in Ohio. I was told that with the PowerHome solar panels the only thing I would have to pay for is my solar payment and my AEP account fee of $10. The representative did the calculations to show what I would pay the electric company for the next 25 yrs verses paying the solar loan (which was about $50 cheaper a month) and it felt like a no brainer. Why pay more in electric when I could have my own power! I was told that I would not have an electric bill because I have more solar panels than I need for the power I use. I was even told that the solar power loan wouldn’t show up on my credit bureau as a loan but shiw up the same as a utility bill would. He said it would help my credit and not show as debt owed. However, it definitely shows up as a loan payment and has lowered my credit score because of my debt incurred. I guess I was the perfect idiot for their scheme. My solar panels were installed in February but since my solar power meter wasn’t installed until April, I didn’t know my panels weren’t even doing anything. My electric bills were actually higher than they were before but even after the meter was put in, my power bills still have not went down. The whole reason I went with solar was that it was supposed to be less than paying my electric bill. I wanted the solar power and generac independence because electric tends to go out here often. Now I’m stuck with electric bills plus a loan payment when we could barely afford the electric bill as it was. My husband lost his job in May when National Guard cut his job and the only income we have to depend on now is my SSDI check and his drill money every month. I called Powerhome (now Pink Energy with no notification of the change by the way) several times and was always on hold for so long that I would leave my call back number. I never received any calls back. I even contacted by email but never received responses. Finally I was able to get a hold of someone by phone after about an hour of waiting. She was very rude and told me they never guarantee customers they won’t have electric bills only that their bills MAY decrease. I told her I wouldn’t have bought solar if I wasn’t told that and that my bills have increased and I need someone to come look at them to make sure everything is working properly. She proceeded to tell me rudely that the panels are working and they would not send anyone. She also said my electric wouldn’t increase from their panels when I know for sure I had used less electricity than before I had the panels installed. When I talked to the financing company they said they do not take the panels back that the only way of getting out of the loan is to have someone buy them from me or contact Powerhome to come get them and refund my money. This is a mess and I have been deceived. Meanwhile we are falling behind on other bills because of the extra money being spent in electricity and on the solar power loan. Please help!
BUYER BEWARE! Like Erin above, we paid $70k, also included a new roof and after 22 months, the system is still only barely working. We only got about 25% of the power generation we were promised, WHEN IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Technician come almost monthly and all we ever hear is “never seen that problem before!” Shameful and an utter disgrace! DO NOT USE PINK/POWERHOME SOLAR!
So sorry for your experience. This is the main reason I started a local honest and consultative Solar Company. No pressure sales, offer several options before pricing out the best option for the customer.
I have often said, it may not pay for you with an east-west roof covered in trees and a electric bill less than $140 a month average. If there is anything we can do please don’t hesitate to look us up and education, education, education.
I agree with all the other bad reviews this power home solar now known as pink entity is very very bad and a rip off sold me expensive batteries that I don’t even need
Wow, 14 reviews & only 1 was positive, that’s sad. Glad I read reviews before scheduling a consultation with Pink Energy. Sounds like they need to fix their wrongs before bringing on any new customers – yeah pink, it’s that’s easy. Make your current customers happy before trying to line your pockets with more unhappy money.
Very disappointed with the service!!!! The daily service is not a problem …..getting customer service help is the problem!! I have needed a new roof since January and they have given me the run around since then and it’s now approaching June. We have paid for a lift and pull so we can get a new roof done and they are making us wait 6 months . In the meantime my roof is continuing to get damaged with the weather . Sorry customer service !!!!

I too recommend a class action lawsuit and as a customer who has been screwed over for the entire 22 months, I would gladly join the lawsuit. Let me know if you are interested in pursuing legal action.
I’m in IN
Me too,I am in for a legal pursuit of this utterly misconduct and wrong doing.
I would participate.
I would also in Michigan and promised that I would save money and I have not customer service is a joke please add me to you like for a legal claim
I’d be interested in joining one too
I have the same problems with Power Home. The sales person misrepresented the tax incentives and described it as a rebate and I found out from my CPA in was a tax incentive. It only half works. My dedicated electric circuits…ie, my refrigerators, freezer…will not kick back on once the electric comes back on. What a farce this was. Would gladly join a class action.
I am interested in a class action lawsuit. Please contact me!
i’m interested in joining your class action lawsuit against phs/pink. keep me informesd . my system was put in may 2021.
I’m definitely in!!!! Here in Michigan with many of the same problems. Saying that customer service is terrible is an understatement.
We too were scammed by PowerHome. Told our payments would be $180 per month and they are $306 per month and our Duke Energy bill is the same as it was before we got the panels. We were told if we got a bill from Duke it wouldn’t be much at all. Lies lies lies and they don’t care! Customer service is impossible to reach! Absolutely the worst decision and purchase we have ever agreed to and I would never ever recommend Powerhome Solar!!!!

Nailed it!
Pink Energy, formally known as Powerhome Solar is a despicable company. This company has hurt hundreds if not thousands of customers AND employees. From burned down houses, to fraudulent sales practices, damaged homeowners properties, does not take any responsibility for their actions, THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, and beware of their contracts, they know they are borderline criminal so they write it in their contracts so that you have to do arbitration instead of taking them to court. This company will go down in history as a company that has done more harm to the earth and the citizens they hurt. So many people need help and to be saved from this company.
Agree with the scam of this company. They reached out to me in October, we agreed upon a system, secured financing, and sign the installation agreement in November because “if you sign up today, we can have your system installed before the end of the year.” Fast forward six months and I have received updates in 4 months, the “concierge” rarely replies to e-mails, and they claim they are waiting on county permits, but can’t evidently they don’t have the purported permit requests so I can facilitate approval at the county. I finally just canceled the entire contract and cut ties. Let’s face it, they are changing their name to escape their reputation and reviews like this one–but they’ll still be business as usual
I love my solar system! Rep came out to our house and yes he asked for our business on the first time out but also gave us a great incentive to move forward on that initial visit. The system has drastically reduced my duke energy bill because I’m not an idiot and made sure my meter was swapped and my battery was in the correct mode and I wasn’t being charged double from duke for my over production. I’ve heard horror stories from other Cx that their utility bill has risen since getting solar and I know the only way that’s possible is the power company must be counting their overproduction energy as consumed energy which duke has told me can happen if the meter isn’t swapped properly. So in conclusion if your system is functioning as it should as mine is this has been the most beneficial decision I’ve ever made in my life. It’s been almost 2 years now since install and the power bills I’m seeing just make me smile because my neighbor showed me hers and it was outrageous and that used to be us
Why would you smile?? See what you can do to help them if you got it all figured out.
Jayson Waller is a joke! Scam artist, this company has changed names constantly, used to be an “alarm company ISI Alarms, he scammed people out of cancelled contracts via ADT that he told people he could do, but ADT said no way, unless you were willing to pay the early contract cancellation fee! He scams people out of money then drives around in his Lamborghinis, Porches, Range Rovers, etc.! The company also takes over a parking lot down the road where there is a big grocery store, didn’t get permission to do so and now people have no parking spots if they want to go to the stores in that strip mall, especially during business hours! They can keep renaming this company, but still an arrogant shady salesman type person running the show! Don’t do business with them!
Pink is a stupid name. I’m still waiting to have my inverter replaced. It broke 2 moths ago and they still haven’t fixed it. I want a do over going with this company!
Tell Jason to SMD!!!!! And pay his prior employees. Such a POS owner and company!!!
Can you please not promote this scam of a company? Have you not read the countless stories of positively devastated customers who are thousands and thousands of dollars in debt now because of PowerHome’s lies and deceptions, and in a contract they cannot get out of even though their panels aren’t even working?
Instead of helping promote this horrible company, please consider helping get the word out about their atrocious business conduct and shady sales tactics.
The same happened to me and my bill is larger now than it has ever been because of the solar panel bill and the electric bill. I was told my electric bill would be 209.00 a month with the panels Included well that was a lie my bill is 209.00 for panels and another 45.00 to 300.00 a month I was scammed I can’t believe they can get away with this.

I’m sure the rebranding has nothing to do with class action lawsuits or multiple state’s Attorney Generals getting involved.
My thoughts exactly, Demitri. It’s a black eye on the industry and companies like PowerHome should be stripped of their license. Also signals that there is an ever-increasing justification for something akin to a “truth in lending” regulation on the solar sales people who are effectively selling electricity mortgages the same way a Realtor or broker has to disclose their fees and make Very clear that their numbers are estimates not guarantees. Homeowners are being swindled by other people not the technology…the technology of solar is a modern marvel but people are still scumbag profiteers.
Are you aware of the scams run by this company? We paid $65,000 for a system that is still broken 10 months later. The salesmen outright lied to us, even according to Generac the system will never perform like he said. The panels have never produced what the company claimed. Finally their resolution was to offer us an extra battery module which they told us won’t benefit us in any way.
