Generac Power Systems, a designer and manufacturer of energy technology solutions and other power products, celebrated the grand opening of its newest manufacturing, assembly and distribution operation in Trenton, South Carolina.
The new Generac facility supports the increased national demand for home standby generators, battery storage and associated energy technologies and will serve as its distribution center in the Southeast.
“We’re thrilled to be building even more of our innovative products in this new facility,” said Tom Pettit, COO of Generac. “The addition of this new plant helps us to meet the growing demand for our technologies and efficiently distribute our products to customers throughout the southeastern United States.”
Generac purchased the 421,000-sq-ft manufacturing, distribution and office facility located in Trenton in February. The company then started operations at the facility in early July. Individuals seeking career opportunities at the Trenton plant can learn more and apply on the Generac careers webpage.

Trying since hurricane michael to get an affordable whole house generator with newest technology and affordable installation price. Generac is promising a generator from their new plant in south carolina. Hope that it will be available for shipment soon need whole house generator with 200 amp service and was told 22 to 25 kw would be sufficient the 25 kw better handles the loads? bet youcan’t get one here at sale pricing by end of June 2022.
Well, that’s great, but I’ve been waiting over a month for my solar generator, and just got told it will be another 6 weeks before they’re shipped. They’re blaming the chip shortage. Seems to me, if they made those in the US, that wouldn’t be an issue. At 2500 dollars for a small generator, they could afford to do that.
Billy Ludt: Thank you for this “ray” of sunshine where I get to read about a American company GENERAC expanding manufacturing (in) the U.S.. There still may be hope for the made in the USA placard on manufactured items actually “from” this country.
