Ingeteam and BYD have tested and certified in their respective R&D laboratories the compatibility of the Battery-Box Premium HVS and HVM high-voltage batteries from BYD with the hybrid inverter (photovoltaic + batteries) from Ingeteam INGECON SUN STORAGE 1Play M TL.
Ingeteam’s hybrid inverter, in combination with BYD batteries, enables operation in isolated mode, back-up mode (UPS) and self-consumption mode.
BYD’s high-voltage lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) batteries, with capacities ranging from 5.1 kWh to 22.1 kWh (depending on the model), are designed for residential and commercial use. The BYD battery models compatible with Ingeteam’s hybrid inverter are: HVS (5.1, 7.7 and 10.2) and HVM (8.3, 11.0, 13.8, 16.6, 19.3 and 22.1).
The Ingeteam inverter includes two PV inputs, each of which has its own maximum solar power point (MPPT) monitoring system, allowing it to manage up to 11.5 kW of solar panel power that can be installed on a roof with two orientations.

With a high voltage pack option, BYD is addressing those million or so, residential solar PV systems installed since 2000 til now, that are the more simple string wired panels and a grid tied house inverter. It seems that those who want resiliency can now have it and get energy control over their roof top generation and added energy storage to extend the solar PV day.
