REIG launches REnergyWare division for monitoring and managing utility-scale solar projects

Renewable Energy Integration Group, a provider of renewable energy DAS/SCADA design, engineering and hardware announced the launch of the new REnergyWare division. REIG’s long-standing design, engineering, installation and commissioning of DAS/SCADA hardware solutions can now be coupled with a proprietary IoT cloud software platform for monitoring, reporting and control of utility scale solar assets. Additionally, a new tiered digital Operations & Maintenance service contract can provide the first level of monitoring, diagnostics and management of the customer’s solar site from its operations center in Charlotte.

“We have received an overwhelming number of requests from our customers for a software platform that can provide an improved dashboard, reporting and analytics compared to what is available today in the market,” said Rene Robaina, COO at REIG. “We have listened, are delivering, and have taken it a step farther, by not only deploying the REvolution IoT platform, but also an optional digital O&M service to our clients.”

The new REnergyWare division, coupled with the proven REIG’s, UL-listed, hardware products, will help reduce operational costs, maximize return on investment and improve efficiencies for small-to-medium scale solar PV industry customers.

“The REnergyWare division will provide monitoring and management software and digital O&M services to 1-MW to ~20-MW solar PV installations,” said Keith Davis, president and CEO, REIG. “By adding the new REvolution IoT software monitoring platform and services to our legacy offerings, we are well positioned to be at the forefront of national, and in the future,  global, IoT solutions providers to solar PV markets.”

RESource digital O&M will provide the remote monitoring and management of the solar assets and networked systems from REIG’s Charlotte, North Carolina, operations center.  In the event of problems or alarms, REnergyWare engineers will remotely diagnose and troubleshoot the problem before dispatching field technicians to the site.
