Solar PV development and construction company SunPeak announced it is now ISO 9001:2015 certified. Perry Johnson Registrars issued SunPeak’s certificate of registration on Sept. 21, recognizing SunPeak as a company that has developed, implemented and maintains a quality management system conforming to the stringent requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 international standard. The scope of the certification includes the design, installation, and servicing of solar PV electricity systems.

“Earning this certification is an important accomplishment that aligns with our core values as an organization,” said Chad Sorenson, SunPeak’s President. “ISO 9001 requires our processes and our employees’ actions to be rooted in the pursuit of quality, and it demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and exceptional customer care.”

ISO 9001:2015 is the most current quality management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent, global association that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems. A company seeking certification must undergo a rigorous companywide audit performed by an American National Accreditation Board (ANAB)-recognized certification firm.

An organization must demonstrate the active involvement of both management and employees in a process-based approach to quality that integrates risk-based thinking and accountability to improve communications, efficiency, and customer service.

SunPeak, based in Madison, Wisconsin, specializes in the design, construction and maintenance of commercial and industrial solar systems. The company works nationally to help companies, municipalities, health care and other professional organizations reduce electrical costs and enhance sustainability efforts using roof and ground-mounted solar systems.
