Solar Basics is a video series by Solar Power World created to help installers learn about the business, tools and tricks of the solar power trade.

Mounting solar panels on tracking systems instead of fixed-tilt racking increases the energy yield of a project. But more moving parts means different O&M considerations must be made for these advanced arrays. Learn how to keep tracking systems running smoothly in this Solar Basics video sponsored by RBI, based on the story: How to keep solar tracker systems running smoothly.

Can I ask you how lubricants play an active part in these systems. From the pictures I saw, I would think that proper Gear Oil and some Open Gear Lubricant that does not wash off in rain would be the main areas of concern, though I would also assume there are bearings that the panels pivot on as well.
We are a lubricant manufacturer and would love to get deeper involved in anything like this that provides sustainable energy. Is there someone you might connect me to? Where we like to work best is on any suffering points. How can we help solve those problems?
    JAX INC. thank you.
