Dehui Solar, a Vietnamese solar panel provider, launched Max and BiMax Series PV modules to the U.S. market at Intersolar North America 2020. The company has decided to shift its focus on the U.S. solar market over the next three years, with plans to target utility-scale buyers by embracing bifacial technology.
Dehui Solar’s Max Series module features monofacial half-cut M6 cells with nine busbars to provide better current collection ability with maximum power output as high as 445 W. Meanwhile, in addition to the above features, the BiMax Series module offers bifacial technology for additional energy gain from the rear side and enhanced fire resistance performance. The power outputs of the front side of BiMax modules are rated up to 440 W.
Mr. Mofe Stallings, General Manager of Dehui Solar USA, said, “After producing over 350 MW of modules made with 156.75-mm cells in 2019 for the U.S. and European markets as an OEM manufacturer for Tier 1 module suppliers, we are taking this opportunity to showcase Dehui Solar’s advancement of solar energy by introducing our larger cell format Max and BiMax Series modules to serve as a landmark of Dehui Solar’s independent foray into the U.S. market.”
Founded in 2017, Dehui Solar has, in recent years, pivoted from European to U.S. clients. European shipments dropped from 200 MW in 2018 – 92 MW in Germany, 65 MW in the Netherlands, and 51 MW in Spain – to 50 MW in 2019.
U.S. sales, by comparison have jumped in recent years, reaching an estimated 300 MW in 2019. Dehui plans to retain the market focus through dedicated service via its U.S. subsidiary – based in Delaware – and a presence at solar trade shows in the country.
The annual cell and module capacity of Dehui Solar is 1.5 GW and 2 GW, respectively, out of Vietnam. Dehui Solar expects to ship over 1 GW of modules to the United States in 2020.
