Yaskawa Solectria Solar announced that the new SOLECTRIA XGI 1,500 grid-support utility interactive inverter now features a DC oversizing ratio of 2.0. The inverter began shipping in June 2019.
In addition, the SOLECTRIA XGI 1,500 inverters are now SunSpec Modbus Certified, have PSCAD, PSLF, PSS/E and PowerFactory models available, and also have an Independent Assessment Report from Black & Veatch.
The XGI 1500 is also the perfect solution for PV project developers, owners and EPCs that want to secure the 30% Federal ITC before the step-down begins, using the 5% safe harbor method. By purchasing the XGI 1,500 before December 31, 2019, project owners will qualify for the full 30% tax credit and have the flexibility to deploy the XGI 1500 inverters on any project.
The SOLECTRIA XGI 1500 inverter is made in the USA with global components at the Yaskawa America factory in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
“Our customers have asked for higher DC oversizing and we are very happy to offer the 2.0 DC/AC ratio for our XGI 1,500-125,” said Miles C. Russell, director of product management at Yaskawa Solectria Solar. “We are ramping our production to keep pace with the interest in the new XGI 1,500 inverters.”
