SolaRack, an American solar racking manufacturer, announced that its standoff waterproofing product SolaSeal is now available. Touted as the first standoff waterproofing base built specifically for the solar industry, SolaSeal is meant to be deployed on flat roof applications, such as torch-down, rolled asphalt shingles and thermoplastic polyolefin, or TPO.
SolaSeal was built as a response to traditional waterproofing tools. SolaRack designed it to also be used with pourable sealants, claiming it requires 18% less sealant as a waterproofing solution.
“The advantages of using SolaSeal are long in coming and the return on investment for solar installers is immediate,” says Moti Atia, CEO, SolaRack. “Unlike competing products, it’s one piece, rectangular-shaped like a standoff base, and uses at least 18% less sealant, which is a significant savings opportunity for installers.”
