The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS) a contract to engineer and construct a 150-kW ground-mounted solar energy system at the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center located in North Hills, California.
The VA, operator of one of the largest health care systems in the world, is a leader among federal agencies in setting renewable energy goals and its Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center facility is just one example of the VA’s continued commitment to source renewable energy. Currently the facility has a total of six solar energy systems including four parking canopies, one ground-mounted solar energy system and one roof-mounted system.
This will be the third solar array HSGS will construct for the VA and the second solar array HSGS will construct at the Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center. In 2017, HSGS was contracted by the VA to design and build a 168-kW parking canopy at the Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center.
The HSGS team is currently in the design phase for the 150-kW solar array for the Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center. HSGS plans to begin the construction of the VA’s solar array in the spring of 2019.
HSGS is a veteran-owned business specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of solar PV systems, battery energy systems, and microgrids.
