Virginia-based solar installer GreenBrilliance has announced plans to manufacture high-efficiency and bifacial crystalline silicon solar panels in the United States.
“We will be locally manufacturing our high-performance and high-quality PV modules,” said Sumit Bhatnagar, president and CEO of GreenBrilliance USA. “By manufacturing the panels in the United States, we intend to serve hundreds of installers and project developers nationwide, eagerly looking for better options in PV panels for their projects and customers. Dearth and lack of availability of ‘Made in USA’ solar panels today have left a big void in the market space.”
GreenBrilliance has been manufacturing panels out of a ISO 9001:2008 facility in India with a fully automated production line. Its current modules range from 185 W to 270 W and are UL listed. GreenBrilliance reps told Solar Power World that the U.S. manufacturing facility will be in Maryland and have a 125-MW capacity.
“Made in USA solar panels will not only be high performance and quality but be more competitive than any foreign product in the market,” Bhatnagar claimed. “We intend to build relationships and work directly with installers nationwide by offering them not just a solar panel but a great experience.”
The company plans to announce more details in the coming weeks.
James E Lieberman says
I have not been able to get GreenBrilliance to provide warranty service on a residential installation completed in Maryland in 2014. I contacted the Maryland Home Improvement Commission and was told that their license expired in August of this year. Mr. Bhatnagar has made a number of empty promises to provide service, but he has proven to be untrustworthy.

Dear James,
We apologize for the delays. Someone from the team GreenBrilliance will be in touch very shortly to understand and resolve the issues with no further delays.
Sincere apologies again on behalf of our CEO Mr. Bhatnagar. There are never empty promises made from his office, this seems to be an oversight and will be resolved.
thank you,
GreenBrilliance

Manufacturing panels in Maryland represents the logical next step to the steady and strategic effort that Mr.Bhatnagar has made over the years to establish PV in the region.
Congratulations to him and his team at Green Brilliance!
