The Maryland Storage Co-op, Solar United Neighbors’ first ever battery storage co-op, has selected Mountain View Solar to install solar panels for the 49-member group. Co-op participants selected Mountain View Solar through a competitive bidding process over two other firms.
“We are honored to be chosen for the Maryland Storage Co-op! It is a privilege to have the opportunity to help more customers realize their goals for energy independence,” said Mike Studholm, a representative of Mountain View Solar.
Solar United Neighbors expands access to solar by educating Maryland residents about the benefits of battery storage systems, helping them organize group battery storage installations, and strengthening Maryland’s renewable energy policies and its community of solar supporters.
Co-op participants selected Mountain View Solar because of their competitive pricing, quality components, and extensive experience installing battery storage systems.
“I was impressed by the knowledge and experience of Mountain View Solar,” said a Maryland Storage Co-op Selection Committee Member. “The Storage Co-op has already been an educational experience. I can’t wait to see what Mountain View designs for us.”
The co-op is open to new participants with existing solar systems until July 31, 2018. Maryland residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op webpage: www.SolarUnitedNeighbors.org/mdstorage. If you’re interested in learning more, check out this recording of the Solar United Neighbors Battery Storage webinar.
Joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase a battery storage system. Mountain View Solar will provide each co-op member with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By installing storage as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save off the cost of installation and have the support of fellow group participants and experts at Solar United Neighbors.
