Olathe West High School (Kansas) students in the Green Tech Academy program now have portable “solar carts” provided by Good Energy Solutions, a Lawrence, Kansas-based solar installer. Installation technician Randy Heck worked with students during the installation to educate them on solar installation as well as train them on monitoring solar production using their existing PV solar trainers.
Educating others on solar and solar technology has always been a big part of the philosophy of Good Energy Solutions.
“We hope these serve the school well for many years to come,” said Matt Bellemere of Good Energy Solutions.
Good Energy Solutions teamed with Seibel Fabrication of Lawrence to designed and build the metal carts. The design ensures that the carts easily roll outside as well as adjust angles for solar production and storage. The educational carts were made possible by a grant from Westar.
