AllEarth Renewables has announced a new dual-axis solar tracker in its lineup–the Gen 4.
The new product offers expanded tracker communication options, and it is now Wi-Fi, cellular and SD card enabled to check the power generation and mode status of the tracker with ease. Gen 4 is self-powered to allow it to keep following the sun, even when the grid is down because the tracker draws energy from the panels.
AllEarth Renewables will begin offering Gen 4 as a complete system package to installers and developers in 2018, shipped with panels, inverter, tracker, and base. Offering Gen 4 as a full system package provides installers and dealers the convenience of one partner, one order, and one delivery, all on one invoice—saving time and money.
The new Gen 4 Solar Tracker uses the proven pole-mounted tracking system by AllEarth to enable higher power 72-cell modules, increasing the AllEarth Power Curve Advantage. The tracker is self-powered, which allows the tracker to keep following the sun without relying on the grid. Gen 4 will be available as a complete package to installers and developers in 2018.
Unlike previous tracker models, Gen 4 features an electric screw-drive motor. The landscape orientation option reduces wind loading, increases the height of the bottom row of panels from the ground, and is visually appealing, particularly for residential uses. The AllEarth Solar Tracker uses GPS and wireless technology to follow the sun throughout the day, producing up to 45% more energy than rooftop solar. The company has manufactured and installed over 5,000 solar tracker systems used for residential and commercial installations.
