Arc faults can be dangerous, evenly deadly. PV inverters aren’t always correct in detecting arcs, sometimes false tripping and sometimes missing them all together. Arc detection has been a controversial topic. We’ll take a brief look at the issues with arc detection, and the progress being made in changing test methods to improve the situation.
