Ken Oatman is Vikram Solar’s new Head of Business Development Americas.

Vikram Solar, tier-1 producer of solar PV modules, recently opened an international office in Boulder, Colo., and named Ken Oatman Head of Business Development Americas.

A well-known executive in the American solar industry, Ken was previously employed by ET Solar Group as the sales manager, and has over six years of experience in various positions along the solar supply chain.

“Ken is a great addition to the international sales team, and we are very positive that he will push our brand to new heights in the months to come,” says Gyanesh Chaudhary, CEO of Vikram Solar. “The recent announcement of duties on Chinese and Taiwanese solar cells and panels make this a great time for us being from India and our Tier 1 listing with Bloomberg makes Vikram Solar a real option for the U.S. market.”

Vikram Solar’s initial products for the American market are 60-cell, 1000 VDC 250 and 255 polycrystalline modules with either clear or black frames. In addition, 72-cell 295W is available for immediate order, and UL/CEC certification for 300 to 330W is pending for late Q3. Vikram Solar also provides a full line of 18-, 36-, 48- and 54-cell modules.
