As you all know, one of the solar industries’ largest shows of the year, Intersolar North America, is quickly approaching. As a service to our listeners, we will be speaking with vendors in the weeks leading up to the show to give you a preview of what you can expect to see on the show floor.
In this edition, we are speaking with Jan Middleton of ILSCO, which will be exhibiting at Booth #9135 at Intersolar. ILSCO is a privately-held, American owned manufacturer of electrical connectors and has become an industry leader as a source of components for grounding, bonding and connectivity solutions to the solar industry.
Intersolar North America will be help this July 9-11 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. As a full media partner, the Solar Power World team will be in attendance so we hope to see you there!
Don Hughes says
She’s right you know!, Take grounding clips for instance, they have very limited uses, and if there are micro-inverters beneath the modules you cannot use “bonding clips” , and must use “listed lugs” because of requirements found in NEC section 690.48 for continuity of grounding, and the need for bonding jumpers due to the modules being access panels to facilitate servicing the inverters (or even a j box beneath a module).
As for the grounding clips, most of them are being used (way) outside of their listing, on equipment that was not part of the tested assembly. Just saying 😉
