Progress Solar II is a solar farm located in Fairmont, N.C.. The project was developed by O2 Energies in collaboration with government officials in the Town of Fairmont and Robeson County Economic Development Commissions. Working with national solar energy company REC Solar and utilizing a SnapNrack mounting system, O2 Energies completed construction of the arrays in October of 2012. The installation utilized new techniques to improve efficiency and reduce costs – while driving economic benefits to Robeson County.
Aside from meeting the electricity needs of 1,200 homes with clean energy, the projects create over 100 meaningful jobs. Overall, the project will add more than $6 million to Robeson County’s tax base.
