What’s the thing you enjoy most about being in the solar industry?
The opportunity to help our nation become more energy independent while helping the environment. Providing employment opportunities in a recessed economy, and working with our partners to lower installation costs.
What do you enjoy least about being in the solar industry?
Employees being away from their families for extended periods of time because of the remoteness of the project sites.
What’s the most important business lesson you’ve learned since you’ve been in the industry?
Utility-scale projects are very labor intensive: Don’t assume the local labor pool will be large enough to support your project.
Where do you see the solar industry in five years?
I see a strong pipeline of work for the next two years, but it is difficult to say after that.
