World’s Largest Solar Project Gets The Green Light From California

Solar Trust of America today announced that its project development  subsidiary, Solar Millennium, LLC, has received unanimous approval from the California Energy Commission (CEC) to build and operate its Blythe Solar Power Project in Riverside County, which would be the largest Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) facility in the world. Yosemite Nat. Park Receives $4.4 million Solar Project

Beginning in June, Yosemite National Park will install a large-scale solar panel project at El Portal that will accommodate a 539-kilowatt photovoltaic generation system with $4.4 million received under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Walmart Completes 1 Megawatt Solar Farm In California

Walmart is jumping on the going green train as it announces that it will open its largest large-scale solar power plant in Apple Valley in Southern California. The Apple Valley Distribution Center solar project consists of more than 5,300 ground-mounted solar panels that cover a nearly seven-acre field and supply one megawatt (MW) power—the equivalent of powering 175 homes.  This is part of Walmart’s overall plan to have all of its facilities powered by renewable energy... Read More
