Good print repeatability builds a better solar cell

Alternative-energies expert Tom Falcon has spent a large part of his career developing techniques to optimise frontside conductor printing on silicon solar cells. His team’s latest research, revealed in a white paper, characterizes the variables in an optimised PoP (Print on print) process and offers clear, concise descriptions of how to effect this within existing printing processes. Falcon says PoP is one of few ways to higher aspect ratio silver conductors in a volume manufacturing... Read More

19% Efficient Screen-Printed 6″ Solar Cell

Sunways AG has developed its high-efficiency silicon solar cell with screen-printing metallisation and an efficiency of more than 19% further from the 5″ format to the 6″ standard format. In March this year a monocrystalline solar cell with screen-printing metallisation and more than 19% efficiency had already been successfully realised in the 5″ format in cooperation with the Institut für Solarenergieforschung Hameln (ISFH). Sunways now also achieved... Read More
