Renusol America, a leading provider of solar PV mounting solutions with systems installed across the U.S., announced that it has provided its Renusol EW ballasted mounting system for 850 solar panels on the rooftop at the Dania Furniture Center in Beaverton, Oregon. The Renusol EW is an east-west facing system and part of a solar power solution put together by the J.R. Zar contracting firm in Aptos, CA.
The 189.4 kW DC System is expected to generate 224,108 kWh per year and cover 100% of the Dania Furniture Center’s energy costs in powering the thousands of overhead lights in the display rooms. “Even with the Pacific Northwest’s lower energy costs, the investment in this system should be recouped through energy savings in five years,” notes Randy Zar, President of J.R. Zar.
Situated on a 52,245 sq. ft. roof, the Renusol America EW is a rail-less mounting system that delivers a low profile without penetrating the roof. “Eliminating roof penetrations on its stores and pleasing aesthetics are both important to Dania,” added Zar. “The Renusol EW system accomplishes both these goals and, with fewer parts and arriving at the job site pre-assembled, it is easier and faster to install.”
Renusol America will also team up with J.R. Zar on additional solar installations for Dania Furniture at their distribution center in Petaluma and at their furniture center in Santa Rosa.
