Blymyer Engineers, the nation’s leading design firm for utility scale solar projects, announced today the company has been chosen by Swinterton Builders as the engineering firm of record on the Springbok 2 Solar Farm in California. The full three phase project involves developing a 350 MW AC PV solar generating facility covering approximately 2,000 acres of formerly underdeveloped grazing and ag lands over multiple project sites in an unincorporated portion of eastern Kern county.
Blymyer Engineer’s scope of work includes preparing the PV syst report, site plans and general arrangement drawings for the system, and complete electrical design including the electrical site plan, single line diagrams, trench layout, detailed design, grounding design, electrical equipment, wire and conduit sizing, plus the interface for the data acquisition system. Additionally Blymyer Engineers is working on structural designs including inverter foundations and single axis tracker foundations.
