During SPI 2012, SolarEdge will introduce to the North American market its next generation power optimizer, winner of the 2012 prestigious Intersolar Award for Innovation at booth #3901. The company says, unlike other power optimizers on the market, the new power optimizer, featuring the new IndOP technology, can be installed without the need for additional interface hardware and can operate directly with any solar inverter. With the new custom designed Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC chipset), the next generation power optimizer has 50% fewer parts compared to the previous model which allowed a much smaller product design with increased reliability and efficiency. The power optimizer offers the highest known peak efficiency in the industry of 99.5% and a 98.9% weighted efficiency.
In addition, SolarEdge is launching a new range of commercial solar inverters for the North American market: 25kW, 30kW, 35kW, 40kW, 45kW, 50kW, and 55kW. The SolarEdge DC-AC PV solar inverter is specifically designed to work with SolarEdge power optimizers. These solar inverters provide all the known benefits of a SolarEdge inverter, including their small size, lightest in its class(~80kg), ease of installation on supplied wall mounting bracket, no electrolytic bulk capacitor for highest reliability, superior efficiency (>98%) and high standards for outdoor and indoor installation.
