Solar Webinar: Building the Largest Smart Array in North America

This webinar will go behind the scenes of the development and construction of the recently commissioned 2.2-MW solar power plant constructed by Talmage Solar Engineering, Inc. in Sharon, VT. The system combines Upsolar modules, Solectria Renewables solar inverters, PV solar power optimizers, and digital monitoring to feed optimized renewable energy directly into the local grid.

Project developer Talmage Engineering’s CFO Kale Inoue will review the project’s history and will lead a panel discussion with Solectria’s Brad Sherman and Upsolar’s Troy Dalbey. The panel will review the challenges faced in developing the project and the technical advances that allow the system to perform at a lower cost per kilowatt hour than a traditional array. You will learn what it takes to get a project of this size from concept to electricity production, hear from vendors of key system components about their design, and see how everything is performing since commissioning in July 2012. Although the target audience is solar professionals working in the 25kW-25MW system range, all are welcome to attend, and the webinar is free.
