Your days to be counted are limited. In fact, you have until tomorrow. The Solar Foundation, a nonprofit working to demonstrate the global benefits of solar energy through research and education, is in the final days of collecting data for its 2012 National Solar Jobs Census.
The census form, which takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete, will close Sept. 28. (A bit of shameless self-promotion: Our Top Solar Contractors form also closes tomorrow).
“Make sure your company is a part of the effort to demonstrate the jobs impact of the domestic solar industry to the American public,” the Solar Energy Industries Association, a sister organization of The Solar Foundation, wrote in a mass e-mail today.
This will be the third year for the census. Last year’s tally led to the following oft-cited statistic: There are over 100,000 solar jobs in the U.S. The new report is scheduled for release in mid-November.
