A 481-kW ground-mount solar array was recently completed for the Thermalito Water and Sewer District (TWSD) in Oroville, CA. The system is expected to eliminate 100% of the district’s electricity bill, resulting in more than $3.8 million in positive cash flow over the 25-year life of the system.
Integrator Elite Solar choose Creotecc Solar Mounting Systems for the installation. The company’s mounting systems span across two acres and use an insertion rail system which eliminates the need for clamps and enables quick and easy module installation.
“Installation of the Creotecc system was fast and efficient. The simplicity of the system is its greatest asset,” said Kirk Short, Owner of Elite Solar. “The man hours saved on this build were exceptional compared to other racking systems I have installed.”
The company says its Creoterra system is engineered to suit virtually all terrains and site conditions. While pile positioning can be challenging with tough terrains, the slot nut along the base rail component enables piles to be positioned anywhere along the rail length, allowing the system to easily adapt to varying site conditions. The system also features a versatile pile bracket which enables customizable tilts from 10-50 degrees for site-specific adaptation.
“Support from the team at Creotecc was there from the beginning of construction to commissioning. Creotecc will be my ‘go to’ racking based on ease of install, product support and cost. It will keep me competitive in this highly competitive field,” said Short.
