Solar kits make small installations simple
Kits are easily expanded as needs and budget change; Enphase Enlighten software provides monitoring and analysis
Solar panel manufacturer Kyocera Solar has a new kit out for residential and light commercial solar energy installations. The company says its MyGen Kits are all-inclusive and offer increased versatility for installation, expansion, and monitoring services, featuring Kyocera’s KD240-W solar modules and new M215 microinverters from Enphase Energy.
The kit enables a scalable solar system by converting direct current (DC) produced by solar modules into alternating current (AC) from each individual module in an array. This allows owners the flexibility to add to their solar energy system as needed. Enphase also includes its monitoring and analysis software to keep an eye on each microinverter and solar module. Performance information is available via the web and can be tracked.
The pre-engineered systems include the modules, inverter, racking, monitoring, grounding, manual, drawings, and minor components needed to complete a grid-tied solar energy installation. The manufacturer says MyGen kits are manufactured in the U.S. and so qualify for the ARRA “Buy America” Program.
