REFUsol Inverters Recieve Official UL Certification

REFUsol, manufacturer of some of the world’s most efficient solar inverters, today announced that they have received their official certificate from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) on four of its products: REFUsol012K-UL, 016K-UL, 020K-UL and 024K-UL, following the successful safety testing completed in October.

In addition, the products are listed in the CSI List of Eligible Inverters, which confirms that the devices have an efficiency rate of up to 98 percent.

With the UL certificate for the three-phased and transformer-less solar inverters covering residential to utility scale deployments, REFUsol is aiming to extend its U.S. business. The inverters are expected to ship early 2012.

To accommodate anticipated sales, REFU Solar Electronics, San Jose, will add four new members to team: Mark Ledbetter, David Khuen, and Kevin Tripp in sales, and Joe Kidd in service. They, and the rest of the team, will cover the entire North American Market.

Furthermore, the company introduced its new inverter REFUsol 333K at this year’s SPI in October in Dallas. The highly efficient inverter significantly decreases the total balance of system (BOS) costs of PV installations, therefore supporting a profitable and cost efficient design of larger photovoltaic plants.
