Solar Links:

Kathie’s Question: What do you think about SolarWorld’s petition?

The Chicago Tribune reports that many U.S. solar companies are urging SolarWorld to drop the petition the U.S. government to slap punitive duties on China for unfair trading practices concerning solar modules.

Those against the petition say it threatens about $11 billion in planned solar installations for 2012 and the potential installation of $60 billion currently in the total pipeline.  This coalliton says it represents 97% of the U.S. solar industry, but are you on their side?

Should we be criticizing China or urging our own govenment to create their own subsidies and solar policy to help compete?

Tell me what you think.
