Learning about the Panda Bear….at Solar Power International
The Panda Bear ground mount system from Panel Claw is UL 2703 recognized.
No it’s not the cute one in the zoo, but the Panda Bear GM from Panel Claw may be just as interesting. I got to see the ground mounting system at its first public appearance (out of the cage) at Solar Power International last month.
The manufacturer says the system is ballasted, so there is no drilling into the roof. This means there is no threat of roof damage from thermal cycling (expansion and contraction caused by changes in temperature). The manufacturer also says there is no ground-prep required and just three major components with significant factory pre-assembly, which makes installations incredibly easy.
The Panda Bear can resist wind speeds up to 120 mph and comes with a 10-year warranty.
