Solar cable connectors for cable-to-cable connections
Pennsylvania-based Automation Systems Interconnect Inc. offers a line of APV4 couples and connectors for cable-to-cable connections for solar PV installation. These cable-to-cable connectors are available with a 1000Vdc rating per IEC and TUV. The APV4 solar cable couplers/connectors are compatible with other industry-standard 4mm solar connectors, such as the MC4 and H4 series. The male and female contacts have a wire range of 14 AWG and 12-10 AWG. The contacts are available in loose piece or reel mounted. The 35A solar connector provides a protection rating of IP67. A strain relief with a compression gland is on the connector to provide a secure connection onto the solar cable insulation.
