1-rail junction box for thin-film solar
TE Connectivity (TE), formerly Tyco Electronics, offers a 1-rail junction box for thin-film solar modules. The company says the Solarlok 1-rail junction box is well-suited for photovoltaic modules in which the positive and negative leads each have their own access point. One small, flat junction box can be installed in two different places on the back of such panels. The new design of the junction box requires potting.
The junction box is 58 x 30 mm large and 13 mm high. It can be installed quickly and discreetly, and is also suitable for building-integrated photovoltaic systems. TE Connectivity says that with this box, module manufacturers can save two-thirds of the wiring, and also offer their customers better-looking panels.
